THE TRAINING PODCAST, THE NEW “VOICE”!
“I don’t have time!”
As everyone in the store knows, it’s hard to focus on a training module for more than 5 minutes. And for a good reason, there’s always so much going on. On the sales floor, training may be crucial, however it suffers from a constant lack of time.
In the last few years, we have seen fun and interactive training methods emerge, largely due to the widespread use of smartphones. Digital training is booming, and we’re constantly thinking of better ways to utilize the little device that we love so much and carry everywhere. In this context, podcasts are increasingly making their presence felt.
Podcast?
We’re all familiar with this delightful term created in 2004 by the journalist Ben Hammersley, who combined “iPod” with “broadcast”. A podcast is an audio creation that you can listen to anytime and anywhere. Whether it’s aimed at clients, like Hermès’ sublime version of “Faubourg des Rêves”, or at sales teams, podcasts act as storytellers, immersing us in the history of a brand. They are like modern day Homers in pocket-sized form, easily accessible on smartphones, ready to slip into a jacket or a handbag, perfect for listening to during a coffee break, a daily jog, while stocking shelves or even on the bus! Clearly, podcasts are a fantastic training tool for busy, connected teams eager to learn.
How do you go about it?
To be effective, the podcast must be CONCISE and PRECISE.
CONCISE: A podcast should not exceed a few minutes but can be replayed endlessly. But what should it say? That’s where The Wind Rose comes in! We craft stories, create sagas, and together, we immerse your audience in the essence of your brand.
With its ultra-short, playful format, that blends words and music, the podcast is perfect for covering general topics, like brand history and biographies, as well as those intricate details often overlooked in traditional training courses, but essential to your brand’s richness.
The podcast must be PRECISE, to quote La Fontaine, I would say « It’s not about saying too much, but saying just enough ». A series of focused themes works better than a long-winded narrative. “Luxury is in the detail”, said Hubert de Givenchy.
Our podcasts highlight those small yet vital elements that define your identity. Want to emphasize your color palette? A favorite shade of beige? A particular buckle design? Your logo? Your founder’s artistic influences?
Think podcast!
Another major advantage is that making a podcast is simple, quick, and effective to produce. They’re a far cry from the budgets required for video media. We offer our creative expertise to give your brand a distinctive voice.
Our ideas, a microphone, a voice, and a studio, we can also produce them in as many languages as you need. Our podcasts are delivered ready-to-use, or rather, straight into your ears!
So, let yourself be tempted?
Believe me, podcasts are still creating a buzz! And so are we! The podcast has more than one trick up its sleeve.
Here’s a quick summary:
- • It starts with a P for Pedagogical: It allows you to learn without boredom and make use of idle moments.
• for Original: Each podcast is tailor-made just for you.
• D for Didactic: To encourage quick memorisation.
• By their Clear format: Quick and easy to repeat.
• A for Artistic: They captivate your audience and pique their curiosity.
• Simple and efficient.
• They are now your new Training tool, designed by The Wind Rose.
Welcome to the world of PODCAST!
